Notre Dame - more

Two directional teams - less

PSU - more

MSU - less

Iowa - less

UCLA - less

Directional California - same

Rutgers - less

Maryland - less

Purdue - Less

Minny - less..

Do those tiers differ from "CFB program performance over the past 4-5-6 years"...?

I appreciate the two things are inherently correlated, but "we" judge coaches by how well their teams perform.  There COULD BE some "hidden coach" doing an incredible job hindered by poor support and recruiting.  And vice versa.

As an example, what great coach could take some highly underperforming program and turn them into a national champion almost overnight?  Anyone?  Bueller?
