I probably told all y'all but, I would have kept it but it had a 4-cylinder - gutless

and it's just not practicable, for golf

kinda like a Corvette

Yeah 4 cyl is rough.  My friend's was a V8 and it still didn't have a lot of oomph.

78 was a rough year for oomph

1978 Corvettes were equipped with 5.7-liter 350 cubic inch V8 engines, offering two power levels: the base L48 produced 185 horsepower (280 lb-ft of torque), while the optional L82 produced 220 horsepower

Yeah my son dreams of a Mustang GT but he doesn't realize how great he's got it, his turbocharged 4 cylinder makes 315 hp.

I dream of a Mustang GT convertible with a 6 speed.  On occasion I surf the used vehicle list.  They no longer make a BMW 2 series ragtop.

That engine sounded great (in line 6).

Looking at cars today. One option is the Mach-E GT. 480 hp, 700 lb-ft (if you spring for the performance package), 0-60 in 3.3s.

Nice performance.    And- a LOT of car for the money!

How about a 1.5L 4-cylinder in a 2007 Yaris with 149,000 on it? But you have to ask me nicely. Oh and the A.C.s out - is that a deal breaker?

Yeah, the very definition of the ugly humpy-looking modern SUV-wannabe kind of thing.

BUT, I have a friend that has one and they're pretty nice overall.  Good performance, good electronics, nice driving experience.  He doesn't call it a Mustang, just refers to it as "the car."
