I think Freeze is a decent coach, Auburn has a pretty solid team, so goes Florida.  It's not all about W/Ls.  USCw seems to be pretty solid this year.  Wisconsin could be about to turn things around.

On the whole, I'd say Franklin is the most over paid coach.

Getting paid not to coach is being over paid, I guess that A&M coach is probably numero uno.

The best thing about rankings is nobody cares where you are ranked midseason except in the moment.  GaTech fans are giddy at being 6-0 and ranked this high, which is fine for them.

Since no one expected him to beat Oregon, he essentially got canned over an 8 day stretch, from UCLA Saturday to NW Saturday.

If we're paying our HC less than Wisconsin is, I'm not sure what outcome we expected (no offense).

I saw something I didn't vette (not worth it) on FB claiming Napier would be fired this Sunday no matter what.  I think that would be a mistake for UF, so I'm all for it.

It's about expectations, and which teams today would be 5-1 with their schedule?  Not many.  Maybe 4-2 at the top.

I saw another really good argument that Indiana should be #1 once the helmet is ignored.

A plausible reason Cignetti might leave is not money, it's sustainability.  Does UI have the NIL resources to compete for elite talent?  Can he continue to coach 3 stars into 5 stars longer term?  He'd have an easier time at Florida in that respect even with expectations being off the charts.
