Sounds like MSU and Mike Tressell are going their separate ways.  If not for the timing, would have happened last year.  He went from co-DC to DC to interim HC to...co-position coach

It's fairly rare I would think for the defensive coordinator in a previous staff to be retained as a position coach in the new staff. Particularly a guy who's not that old. obviously Greg Mattison at Michigan was a different situation.
