did you go out of your freakin way to find an SoS chart to support your argument?  meanwhile, i used the one the freakin committee used.... which was posted right there beside the team- including the SoR...

it's real simple- schedule somebody with a pulse, do it regularly, and these things don't happen.

I really didn't and still don't care about the order of the top-3 because with UGA/TN playing the winner will go to #1 and the loser drops regardless of the order before that game.
and same for UM/tOSU... the only problem with that game is it's the only REAL game either of those teams face.

if UT makes it all the way, they'll have beaten two top ranked teams this year and will face another.   same with UGA... same with Bama (though they've dropped one of those already).... and even with those games removed, all three have played a far more difficult schedule than either UM or tOSU... the same complaint y'all have against clemson is what the rest of the nation has against UM/tOSU.

Who are you aiming this schedule complaint at?

The one the committee used that was printed across the screen last night? I'm guessing that one holds more water with them... just a guess.

Michigan should’ve played UCLA at home, gotten that W and they’re 8-0 and the SoS and SoR isn’t torching them.

I hope I never see OOC slate that bad ever again. My HOPE is that with the expanded playoff well actually get to see awesome OOC match ups going forward.

Huh?

SoS of contenders per Sagrin:
  • 16, Utah
  • 18, Bama
  • 24, LSU
  • 26, TCU
  • 27, Oregon
  • 29, tOSU
  • 32, USC
  • 47, TN
  • 50, UGA
  • 53, Illinois
  • 55, Ole Miss
  • 59, UNC
  • 60, UCLA
  • 65, Clemson
  • 69, M

That is laughable.

I dislike any SoS I've ever seen.  I'd just look for quality wins and forget wins over "Kent State" unless it was unimpressive.

I'd count Penn State as a quality win, not an elite one, but pretty good.

Or any down program, really, but this is one year, and it ain't over yet.

Find the right coach, duh.  Then hope to find a QB somewhere near Bueller, or whatever his name is.

I don't agree with your assessment of PSU.  They aren't chopped liver.  At the least they're a quality team.  Michigan drumming them at home and Ohio State handling them on the road is a quality point on their resume, imo.

it can change fairly quickly with the right coach and a little luck

I would like to think so but I'm not sure. Tennessee has a lot better proximity to recruits. The State of Tennessee itself isn't exactly loaded with 5* but they have a lot better quantity and quality than the State of Nebraska.

Tenneasee's bigger advantage is that they border NC, GA, AL, and MS. Nebraska borders . . . Missouri.

My theory is that in the modern era proximity matters a lot because guys don't have to go to a helmet to play on TV.
