Penn State could've done a lot worse than Matt Campbell, but idk man I've just never been that impressed with him. Don't get me wrong I'd take him over Sharon Moore in a heart beat but I was never that sold on Campbell and when his name was mentioned with Michigan in the past was always a little disappointed and hoping Michigan would do better than him. 

Moore sucks as a head coach but at least he can recruit. Back to back top 10 classes and signed the #1 QB and player in 2025 and the #1 RB in 2026. I don't think Matt Campbell has that type of recruiting chops in him. We're about to find out.

Campbell had high preseason expectations in Ames this year, didn't really work out

Campbell better start brushing up on his sales pitch then if he wants to stick around - IF that's the case

schools only recruit themselves to a certain point. the name just gets you in the door. still need a crack recruiter to reel the kids in and the NIL budget backing you to make sure the deal gets signed and the kid comes.
