In all my years of coaching change/recruiting tomfoolery, I can't say I recall seeing anything quite like this.
Not good,not good,to think 10 + months ago they were fixing to be in the thick of the mix,BBTS deserves better

That's crazy to me. 

When OSU was between coaches (Tressel, Meyer) they still had a helluva recruiting class because the Ohio players wanted to play for OSU no matter who the HC was. 

PA is a pretty good recruiting state. You'd think there'd be a similar loyalty to PSU within their borders.

PSU has a ways to go to top Tennessee hiring their official 19th choice, Pruitt like 10 years ago.  THAT was the worst dumpster fire HC transition ever, AND THEN he went on to get tossed for giving cash to players in McDonalds bags.

He was a visionary, turns out.

They weren't. They hired Meyer in November 2011 and he recruited from the jump while ickell f'd up a season.

Meyer even "bumped" into a Wisconsin commit and got him to flip.

That's how things work for third base.

Spence, Washington, Reeves, Bogard, Marcus, Perry, Decker and many more all committed to OSU after Meyer was hired.

Yeah, I remember, it was a weird class. 1/3 committed to Tressel, 1/3 committed to Fickell, and 1/3 committed to Meyer.

"gentleman's agreement" refers to an alleged, unwritten rule in the Big Ten Conference, particularly during the 2011-2012 recruiting cycle, where coaches were said to have an understanding not to heavily recruit players who had already been committed to another conference team. This agreement was reportedly violated by Urban Meyer when he recruited players who were committed to Ohio State and later became a major point of contention between him, Dantonio, and other coaches like Bret Bielema. 
  • The alleged agreement: The "gentleman's agreement" was an unwritten rule among coaches in the Big Ten conference regarding recruiting priorities. It was not a formal NCAA or conference rule, but rather an understanding between coaches.
