The good news is I went running today and did better than expected.  I have not run for months and was expecting a disaster.  i THINK it's because even when I'm running consistently I'm still not in great shape.  So the falloff isn't as much.

The weather here is perfect.  

I think my legs are going to protest for a bit.

At least I can still sort of "run".  I was noting people on the cruise ship who could barely walk of course, some would mostly oscillate side to side, and some of course had walkers or scooters.  Average age maybe 65 or so.  Almost no kids, which was nice.

My typing is still pretty good ....................

nearly perfect weather here - a little windy this afternoon

I need to get back to the daily elliptical routine

although I did keep up with my daughter while hiking in Maine

I enjoyed a good stogie on the back nine yesterday - with a few Budweisers - even clipped a birdie on one of the par 5's on the back.  Started the round with a birdie on #1

Remembered it was Friday and I was on a beautiful coastal golf course, not in my office.

Got back from London yesterday and found that our water heater was leaking, so I had to shut it off. Was worried about having a house without hot water all weekend and then stranding my wife home w/o hot water while I have to travel if I couldn't arrange something first thing Monday morning.

But thankfully our property management company was able to arrange a plumber yesterday, who came out, fixed it, and we're back up and running.

Then my wife noticed a leak under our bathroom sink...

...but I fixed that myself and it's all good. 

I could be grumpy over all this, but I'm happy that two crises were averted.
