The Longhorn/Buckeye game would've been on the TV regardless because my wife is a big Texas fan.  That has nothing to do with me one way or the other. 

But I've never said I wouldn't watch or have no interest.  I said plenty that I don't like where the game has gone and I can't draw the same enjoyment from the game anymore--or heartache.  Crap seasons don't drag me down the way they used to, and I imagine a good season wouldn't elate me either.  That's different than not being interested.  I don't like Lane Kiffin, but I'm interested to see what team looks like under him.  I don't give a rat's ass about a single NFL team and have no emotional investment in any aspect of it, but the games interest me and I do look forward to the season. 

I guess you missed my recent Week 1 post about how I still love to watch that stadium, and those uniforms, even if I don't know the players' names and it doesn't represent the same things I used to love.

I'm just kdding.  I've had football malaise off and on for decades.  I find that my interest level purely coincides with a good season or a win over a big rival.  :)

I slept until 8:14 which is very unusual.  Went to the gym and then the pool, had both entirely to myself.  So I'm feeling righteous.

It's still hot here for mid September, 86°F at the moment, but the humidity is lower.

Starting to want lunch, hoping the wife gets home soon and makes a sandwich.  She went to pilates.

Yesterday after getting back from my trip, I opened the windows and turned off the AC. I don't know if we're fully past the AC season this year, but it's quite pleasant out now.

Just ordered the beefier spare tire carrier for the Jeep... Now just need to pick out some wheels and my 35x12 tires...

Daughter came in from College Station to Austin last night for a concert, got to our house around 1:30 I guess.  I haven't seen her yet but she was originally talking about going back to CS for the Aggie football game this afternoon, but talking to her yesterday just before she left, she was strongly considering just staying here until Sunday night.   Just seeing her this morning will be nice but I sure would like for her to stick around.  I'd even wash her car...
