Haven't had a cigarette since New Year's 2004. Now I'm just killing myself with beer instead of both.

Completed the big meeting, the first panel discussion, and "networking" (ugh!) last night. Filmed my panel for the other thing this morning... Had to wear makeup lol. Think I killed it in all my talks.

And then I got to the airport and managed to snag an earlier flight.

That makes me happy!

As a "non" smoker, I would occasionally bum one off one of my friends when we meet at the outdoor sit bar down the street.  A 3 beer buzz immediately doubles with one cig.  Don't think that would work now, since I have a new nicotine lip pillow in every 2 hours I'm awake.

The two giant puffs I took off a communal joint while Cross Canadian Ragweed was singing "them boys from Oklahoma roll their joints all wrong" back in April had the effect of drinking an additional 30 pack.

I don't remember anything like that back in the year 1993, the only other time I've partaken of the weed.  Think it's a whole different ballgame now.

Checked it out. Breaking things is fun. Breaking things in a computer simulation isn't quite as fun, but still seems like a cool thing to do. Nice job!
A computer once beat me twice at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing

Yeah I thought that was a little surprising, too.  I automatically assume anyone under the age of maybe 75 who smokes cigarettes is a total dumbass, and I don't consider Riff to be a total dumbass.

Had to modify this post.  Somehow I wrote cigarette instead of cigar.  Did this yesterday except for the cigar.  I smoked my last cigar on the road and have a bunch on order.  I had planned to purchase a bunch in Maine, but they have a 75% excise tax on cigars. Going to have to solve that problem if I am going to be in Maine for 5 months a year

Good for you

I'm guessing most of your friends smoked.

Right but they were old enough to really and truly know better.   Folks 75 and older were still being told by doctors that cigarette smoke "is good for the lungs because it loosens them up" or somesuch bullshit.

Your generation and all thereafter knew better, hence the dumbassery.
