Well shoot. It makes me happy that I enjoy drinking beer with SFGopher29.

Also, I bested my best round of 18 holes ever the other day by three strokes (I suck at golf, so my +17 score is a long way from impressive, but beating my approximate handicap by six strokes was pretty cool).

Good occasion, friend dating back to Jr. High was in town and stopped by with his wife for a few hours.  And a quite rare occasion, since he lived in Minnesota for 35 years before recently escaping to Tennessee.

The weather here has been great recently enough rain and sun mixture high 60s to mid 80s mostly 70s with a breeze - that makes me happy

Now that I think of it, I haven't had a beer since they popped my chest open.

A lot of things in my body changed with that 8 hour surgery.

I fell badly out of drinking shape as I got older. 

Hangovers/bounce back just got worse. So beers had a higher cost the next day, and I was already not a good sleeper, then I drank less, then the body got even less used to the recovery. 

Not that I don’t drink, but it’s mostly in a few situations (some sporting events, after a race, meeting with certain friends). Ahhh well.

Drinking a cold beer. Smoking a cigarette while floating in my pool is ond of my great pleasures.  I will finally be back home tonight and going to enjoy it tomorrow

Can't tell you what it's about here because it would necessarily turn political, but if you're interested and willing to have a reasoned conversation with me about why this was important/correct, I'm happy to do so over DMs. Not very often that my cases make the NY Times, but this one did. Suffice it to say, that's a career highlight.

You can search "Northern District of California" on the NYTimes and you'll find it from June 23.
