Well it's been one game but we looked real good in that one game!

They changed the format this year to allow more teams, so you might get more clubbings than usual. Still, for us to club anyone is rare.

Happy that Carolina won the Cup, and that Las Vegas didn't.

Bonus for me!

Looks like all the Caniacs had a great time celebrating their second cup too.

It's got to be weird for traditional, northern/Canadian team fans to have Vegas, Carolina, and the FL teams be so successful the last 15 years.

I was thinking that very thing this morning. Florida is like the hockey hotbed now.

Even the local team (Miami affiliate) is kicking ass. They've won 4 ECHL titles in 5 years, and are playing for a fifth tonight in KC.

I’ve been to one game up that way. It’s exactly enough of a schlep that it’s either a really unpleasant day trip or maybe an overnight. But it’s also kind of too close that I’m not gonna make a trip out there unless there’s a very specific good reason.

there is however, a local minor league team, with relatively affordable tickets and an easy to access schedule. Went to a ton of games last year and a few this year.

We enjoy going to the occasional Everblades game. Lots of energy in a 7K seat arena.

Tix have gotten a bit pricey, but that's what happens with winning all the time.

We used to take the kids to Chicago Wolves and Milwaukee Admirals games.

When I was in college we had a local minor-league team for a hot minute--about 4 seasons total, I want to say.  The Ice Pirates.  They were in the WPHL.  I'm not much into hockey, but tickets were cheap and I have to say, it was always a good time when we went.  They did pretty good on my personal requisite number of fights per game, which is really I what I went for.
