yup, is place is on old highway 20.  new highway 20 in about a half mile north - 4 lanes

Route 66 signs are just for some Americana decoration
U.S. 20 goes thru Northern Ohio and is a coast-to-coast highway and the longest road in the United States, stretching approximately 3,365 miles. It runs from Newport, Oregon, on the Pacific Ocean to Boston, Massachusetts. Cliff Clavin would be impressed

Love the old highways. I'm sure I've mentioned before that in my younger days I would drive Highway 41 from Tennessee to Chicago to meet up with college buddies over long weekends. Always enjoyed that I was in the middle of an Allman Brothers song.

And good God, to be young and stupid. I'm just realizing that was a 7-hour trip in good conditions. I would leave Friday at the end of the work day, and drive until after midnight to get there, then drive back on Sunday. Dumb.

Back surgery today - removing the loose screws from my fusion back in 2015. I'm looking forward to a pain-free back again.

Maybe, but those kinds of trips sure did seem like a good idea at the time.

I'd give.....a lot.....to have that kind of energy, stamina, and general get-up-and-go again.

One thing I like when we do short vacations nearby is taking the old roads.  Sometimes it’s sad to see towns ruined by a Walmart on the outskirts, but several towns in the mountains have come back and are pretty neat.

My wife likes Clarkesville, GA a lot.  The downtown square is pretty neat.

Even out here in California the backroads take you through a bunch of towns that are largely overlooked, but are often pretty great.

At an old job I had to go up to Clayton for something. Damn pretty country, and a welcome place to go in August.

One of the things I’ve learned in my travels around the country: a lot of it is pretty dang cool if you go with an open mind.
