My German Shepherd- Brutus- had his back right leg amputated Wednesday due to a very aggressive cancer in his knee joint.  The cancer will get him- but not today.

Glad your dog is better, for as long as it lasts (hopefully a long, long time).

Would you happen to be the rebranded former poster, BrutusBuckeye?  Haven't seen that guy in years, but if it's you, I guess that would explain why.

My doc convinced me to get a Cologuard test, and it came back negative, which is good.  No known family history.

I have a low rest heart rate, usually around 50, doc doesn't seem worried at all.  BP is nominal.  I have a small card that does a kind of EKG which shows normal sinus rhythm  if I can spell that...  I'm taking a statin, he told me not to bother with the CoQ10 supplements, advice on that has changed apparently.

changed jobs and new insurance company required a Cologuard test.  I told them I had a colonoscopy recently and could provide the results.  They said, "Please send the results AND send in the Cologuard!"

Basic instructions right there but shouldn't HAZMET get involved at some point?

I found the directions to be overly explicit, and this confusing.  I managed.  I got the lid on tight.  It was a bit weird.

Anyway, my PCP was pushing me into a scopy, and suggested this instead.  Win.

I would rather have a colonoscopy which i have done every 5 years rather than cologuard

Colorectal cancer is increasing in people under 50. Younger adults are being diagnosed more than any previous generation, and often at a more advanced stage. Today, it's the leading cause of cancer death in men under 50, and the second leading cause in women under 50.

When detected early, it’s one of the easiest cancers to test for and treat.

Took Friday afternoon off to hang out with an old friend, and got to take him pub crawling to dive bars around the county.

This place was populated heavily by Russian-German, or Volga German Immigrants in the 1890's, and there are numerous little bergs where the only businesses are an elaborate Catholic Church and a dive bar.   Liebenthal, Schoenchen, Munjor, and Catherine.  The last one served us supper, and it was really frickin' good.  The previous owner (RIP) had invested in a quite expensive air frying machine, and it's amazing.
