This would make me happy.

My Nephew is working- volunteering really - on the camera crews that track the balls in flight during the tournament. With all the flight paths with different colors traced on the TV screen. This is the 2nd straight year he's doing it,evidently they approved of his work last year and asked him back

Keeping apprised of my son-in-law's 10 year journey, and some of the stupid hoops they make them jump through...I guess it's good news that he will be needed when he finishes the 3 yrs of slave labor they term "residency."  And he can start buying supper at some point.

I've been told it's better than it used to be.  There's laws now about the amount of hours residents can be forced to work within a certain time frame.  My cousin, a big-shot surgeon in NJ who is a year older than I, likes to scoff when he hears doctors complain about what they're put through.  He says they'd never survive what his cohort went through.

As he's not too far off from 50, I perceive he's just about ready to start talking about how he had to walk to school, in the snow, uphill both ways, and yelling at kids to get off his lawn.

S-I-L took a raft of shit for taking off 3 days to attend my mother's funeral.  Attending said he didn't even go to funerals when HE was at that stage.

I believe he is capped at 30K/yr, and that's the standard nationwide.  Unless my kid is fudging those numbers to keep me (and her mother) buying everything!  These people have to borrow a bank to pay for school, and they make about $10/hr, no overtime bump.  They make up for it later, but it's just nothing more than a hazing process, in my estimation.

But we're on happy, so. . .

I'm not picking a bracket, and I am a natural born underdog lover, and it's buzzer-beater 1st round day.  Hoping for some good ones!

scheduled a lunch meeting with client at Zipline Brewing in Lincoln, NE

I'll get there before the Husker tip and grab a table near a big screen

if client has to go back to the office before the end of the game, that's no reason for me to not have a beer and finish watching the game

happy

Sounds like a good day.  Maybe Nebraska will win their first-ever tournament game, even!

Got 18 holes in yesterday, playing best shot. Lost $ but the weather was so great, it couldn't make me grumpy. :)

I might get the chance to beat a few balls around this afternoon before heading to my daughter's track "scrimmage". She's been working on getting down to a 3-step for hurdles, so I'm excited to see how she does.
