just go to the golf store and get fitted for some Cleveland wedges like a normal ogre
Sounds like what the Browns have been giving us

I got fitted for my irons and extrapolated from that to select my wedge specs. I had my wedges built specifically to those specs.

I'm just thinking now that instead of getting new wedges built with the same heads to the same specs, I can just order the heads and use the existing shafts which meet my specs.

The Browns have been thinking for about 30 years "if I just get a new driver and focus on speed training, I'll go from being a stupid hack golfer to competing on the PGA Tour".

I mean, they could have worked on their swing mechanics, and practiced putting and short game, and learned about course management, and done the 100 little things that all add up to improvement.

But instead, every spring they buy a new driver (QB), and think it'll solve all their issues.

oh you can do that.  It's smart.  But the normal hack simply drops some serious coin and hopes for the best

I'm not a normal hack.

I'm an extraordinary hack.

It was my SIL's 40th [surprise] birthday party last night. This is the BIL and his wife that just moved back from Texas (and Oregon before that), and I think we're obviously going to be seeing them a LOT more than we have over the entire last decade I've known my wife... My kids weren't with us but we'll get to see them with the kids next Thursday and Friday.

But we were hanging out, and one of my nephews wanted to throw the football with someone, so I volunteered. And we literally just played catch by streetlight for 15-20 minutes.

It's not a big thing, but it made me happy.

I absolutely love my BIL-- he's fun and interesting and a genuinely good person.  Plus, he's moving back from New Jersey to Central Texas while his wife (an amazing person who I also love) is going through her final deployment as a Lieutenant Colonel for the USAF before she retires after 20+ years.  Anyway, point being, they're so much fun and I'm delighted they'll be moving back close to us this year.

And since it's going to be mid-70s on Christmas day you better believe we'll be throwing the football outside.  It's been our family tradition since before I was born.
