You should move next door to Fearless.  Cost of living is cheap and there's a wing bar nearby!

I keep seeing shared posts about the Bronson Bar.

If I lived there the beer and fried bar food, along with the peer pressure, would torpedo the keto in short order.

house across the street is going on the market soon - walkout basement - I'd guess around $150K - low taxes, low utilities

Wish I could go back to younger me and have that talk. Back in the day it was to appease the ex I believe. Current house was designed during the middle of covid so we made sure the kitchen could account for eating at home every day and the basement was designed to be play zone for the kids.  Only money spent eating out is traveling and once or twice a year on birthdays or anniversary and the occasional business dinner and it's the best financial and health move.

Although good luck buying a house in this market.. outside of correcting Florida. Mind blowing the price of housing right now.

We actually very rarely go to restaurants at all.

When we do, we're usually more likely to go out for lunch on a weekend and then cook dinner at home than go out for dinner.

Correcting is done around here. Going back up again. From what I gather, sounds like the correcting was much more on the other side. Much more demand over there from 2020-2023.

We were lucky to have gotten before Covid and everyone moving here.

We go out to eat pretty much every Friday night. But most meals are at home, with all of us including the kids sitting at the dinner table and eating together.

Now that my 16yo son has a job working fast food though, that's going to be more difficult.

A friend of mine was in the process of buying a house and at one point turned to me and asked if a particular hobby (which will not be named because that’ll just spiral out into some nonsense) had maybe made this process harder. I told him probably not, and then he invited me to join him in Trying the hobby for half a day, and I might’ve been wrong, although I didn’t tell him.

I definitely have cut down on eating at restaurants. Granted some of that is because my girlfriend likes cooking and I’m cheap. And even when I did, it was almost never really pricy places.

That, I could live with.

I drank a crap load of tasteless diet beer Friday night and am up 6.8 lbs from that morning.  Plus, I'm now a lightweight and get smashed after 10 bottles.  Probably drank 20 though.  Still have the want-to.
