Anyone who has ever wet a line deserves to experience a shore lunch at some point in their life.

I haven't been to Canada since 2019. Damn, do I miss it.

I've only  been to Vancouver, never to Montreal, except for changing planes in Toronto, which was unpleasant.

I made "French" onion soup last night.  My wife chuckled and said it wasn't really French.  She also said I used too much butter, which doesn't seem possible to me.  I thought it was quite good, and she ate her share, so it wasn't terrible.  I suspect if a Frenchman made grits for me, I'd probably tell him how he erred.

Been to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Windsor, Toronto, and Ottawa. Vancouver [with a side trip to Victoria] is the only one (aside from Windsor when I was 19-20 and went there to drink) that I've gone to outside of work-related travel.

I would like to visit Montreal.

Guess I meant haven't fished in Canada since 2019. I've mostly fished Lake of the Woods, but I've also done Rainy Lake and Eagle Lake.

Wifey and I visited Banff / Jasper a couple years ago, and if mountains are your thing, it's a must see.

Yeah, I'd like to see Banff. When I was doing business travel to Calgary I thought it'd be mountainous due to the winter Olympics. Nope. Flat as a pancake. Gotta drive to the mountains...

It is the best meal of every year, the shore lunch.  This is northern pike which is delicious if one can take out Y bone.  Bread crumbs here are corn flakes.

I too love Northern.  I can easily pull the Y bone out of my teeth.
