The pool water is like bath water temperatures.  They have a shower by the pool that sits in the sun and the first few seconds are scalding.  I learned that the hard way.  The pool deck is on fire.  But it may cool off later this week.

I painted our pool deck white. It was a darker gray when we moved in, which is just dumb.

This stuff really works.  Part of the deck around my pool is stone, but a large portion of it is concrete stamped to look like stone, and a few years back I painted some of this on.  It made a big difference.

This is our pool, photo taken from elevator room:

It's on the south side of the building, so the building reflects light onto it, and heat.  The deck surface was redone two years ago but already is cracking.

My wife said someone at the monthly meeting asked for more umbrellas, at a cost of $800 per.  As you can see, there are quite a few more umbrellas than people in the pool.  Granted on weekends we may see ten people lounging about.  Our building is getting old and some basic items need repairs, like escape stairways which are outside.

Anyway, it's enough pool for me, I swim back and forth, it's about 25 yards or so.  And I have it to myself on weekdays.  I may give a copt of that pool deck cool stuff to the building maintenance dude.

Checked my water this evening.

94 degrees.

Dude they should just go to Academy, you can almost always find the 9' tilt umbrellas on sale for around $30.

I think our umbrellas have to have that heavy base that rolls, it has wheels on it, maybe that is why they are expensive.  We wouldn't want one flying off into the blue.

Folks are suppoed to drop them back after use but of course I see them left open once a week or so.  And maybe the boatd misoverestimated the cost to shut the person down.

Anyway, we don't need more umbrellas whatever the cost.

My wife goes to the monthly meetings and reports back to my lazy butt, I think she enjoys the exposure to humanity.  I don't.  Our current board seems to be pretty reasonable about spending money and we're well in the black so far this year, maybe my HOA won't go up so much next year.

I checked out the HOA of a condo, 2 bedroom, in the Four Seasons and it was over $1800 per month, which is rent around here for an efficiency/studio in a nice building.

I understand why young folks struggle to buy anything.
