THIS DAY IN HISTORY:
NASA Announces Discovery of Ice Deposits on Mars (2002)
Launched in April 2001, the Mars Odyssey spacecraft was sent by the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to look for evidence of water on Mars. A little over a year later, NASA announced that water had been detected there in the form of ice, suggesting the possibility of microbial life on the Red Planet. The Phoenix lander confirmed the presence of water in 2008

That is one of the most interesting Corvettes.  The front is mostly unchanged from the 56-61 models while the back is almost exactly the same as the 63-67 models.

Hotter than a two dollar pistol......

With a new larger engine the 1962 model year Corvette was the quickest to date. Displacement of the small-block V8 increased from 283 cu in to 327 cu in, which was rated at 250 hp in its base single 4-barrel carburetor version. Hydraulic valve lifters were used in the standard and optional 300 hp engines, solid lifters in the optional carbureted 340 hp and Ramjet fuel-injected 360 hp versions.

1962 saw the last solid-rear-axle suspension, that had been used from the beginning. Rocker panel trim was seen for the first time. This was the last Corvette model to offer an optional power convertible top mechanism. Rare options: RPO 488 24-gallon fuel tank, RPO 687 heavy-duty brakes and steering, RPO 473 power convertible top, RPO 276 15×5.5-inch wheels.

So in other words, the man down at the bank took her from him.
Ramjet fuel-injected 360 hp versions.
A friend owned one of the early fuel injected Vette's.  That was a great system . . . when it worked.  Keeping it working on an old (by the time he owned it) Corvette was a flat out nightmare.

I was listening to consumer advocate Clark Howard's syndicated Radio Show a few yrs back and this is one way he advised to stemming ever rising funeral costs.Or giving the vacant husts to science thus cutting out the greedy ghouls
Both my parent gave their bodies to medical research.  The institute took the bodies, did whatever they did with them for a while. After they were done, they cremated whatever was left and sent the remains to us.  No cost to us for anything.
