Never heard any of those.
You might like the Aerosmith tune.

You might like the Mammoth tune-- that's Wolfgang Van Halen's band.

Because I know Brutus loves this thread so much, here is the 2025 Red River Jams playlist.
how'd you pull this thread over from the Big 12 board?

Well you CAN do that, but this one has always been in the B1G forum.

Interesting...

You've got a lot of artists there that I'm familiar with, but songs I've never heard from those artists.

I think I'm going to throw that into a Spotify playlist and give it a shot...

Yeah in general it's always going to be one of the very most recent songs from the artist, and it's not necessarily always a release*.  Occasionally it's slightly older than Sep/Oct but it'll pretty much always be March of the current year, or later.

*these days I'm not even sure how to define a "release" though, since so many tracks get digital play regardless of whether or not they ever hit the terrestrial airwaves.

Anyway, hope you like it.  There's likely to be some you don't, and that's okay.  There are some contributions from my kids, wife, and brother on here, so it's a fairly eclectic mix.  Which is one thing I always like about it.

Yeah, there are definitely some artists I don't even recognize. And there's one song involving KPop Demon Hunters, which I've heard of, and yet I have no clue what they are.

Obviously I know Yellowcard as they were, but the instant I see the title "Better Days" I start hearing Citizen King's I've Seen Better Days. Googling it I didn't even realize they had a new album...

I've also heard Milky Chance, Lola Young, Myles Smith, and Muse, but those particular songs I don't recognize. Those artists are in regular airplay on the stations I listen to, but I guess they haven't gotten those songs into the rotation yet.

Man if I'm beating satellite radio to the punch, then I'm doing my job!

Or, alternatively, I'm choosing songs that are so bad, nobody wants to put them on the air.

But I like to think it's the former rather than the latter.
