I don't think it's a big scandal or anything.  Just a very funny thing that happened to a guy who is pretty tone-deaf to how his actions will be perceived lately.  See hiring the fired Iowa strength coach, then having to fire him after the public reaction.

Yeah, he seems to act as if his actions will remain covert and of no consequence.

Strange cat,his problem IMO is he seems to think he's always addressing his captive audience of collegiate players who mostly stand in awe or at least respect of him.Mostly because of name recognition and the fact he brought them on board. It appears he's not quite understood that there are adults out in media land with functioning medula's that can spot the weasel in the wood pile and when he's pissing down our backs and tells us it's raining
Suburbia:Where they tear out the trees & then name streets after them.

He was a demigod in college, and perhaps some things in C-bus didn't get reported, but this isn't CFB.

Or perhaps he thinks he can get away with more now in the NFL.

I don't know how I've never seen this before...but appears to be Urban doing an interview on a boat, and a mystery shirtless guy walks in on him holding a bong, you can hear the bong rip and the guy seems to be walking towards Urban to offer him the bong and Urban gives the guy a look and mouths him to go away. It's kind of hilarious.

Also: apparently he was in hot water with the owner because he didn't travel back to Jacksonville with the team. This is doesn't happen in the NFL. The coaches typically always travel back home with the team right after the game. The team went back to Jacksonville, but Urban stayed behind in Cincinnati.

Urban Meyer video: Report details Jaguars players are questioning coach's credibility (247sports.com)

This MIGHT be a real scandal, in terms of possible impact.

I can blame him for a lot of things, wanting to spend as little time in Jacksonville is not one of them

I was watching ESPN and Keyshawn Johnson was livid not so much about what Meyer did, but about him not traveling back with the team. Said that is something that was absolutely not acceptable for an NFL coach.
