Watched Song Sung Blue and rewatched WarGames over the last couple of days.
Was worried that SFIrish wouldn't like the down parts of Song Sung Blue, but honestly, they weren't that down. I need to check in with my MKE buddies to see their memory of that duo. I bet they were at least aware of them. Nice, sweet movie.
WarGames was exactly what one would expect for the debut (or at least early) movie for teen actors in the early-80s with a plot around an high school hacker nearly starting WWIII because the government's computer had run amuck. A different spin on Dr. Strangelove, but a similar concept. It's really 80s. We watched it because I was curious after not watching it for probably nearly 40 years, and to educate SFGopher on the 80s. Mission accomplished. Although we were disappointed that in a code cracking scene the director/writer did not incorporate the code from Dr. Strangelove. That was an obvious opportunity for a cool easter egg that they missed. Weak sauce.
