The actor really reminds me of the big, dumb knight-to-be in the animated Sword in the Stone movie from way back in the day.
Idk why the kid is bald.
I do.  And I suspect the TV audience will eventually.

It’s a she…and she’s part of the royal family…just a guess.

Well no spoilers but the big reveal has happened, if you're into such things.  I'm really enjoying that show.  The episodes seem too short but that's probably part of why I like it so much.

Anyway, I've finished up Fallout Season 2 and thought it was every bit as good as season 1.    I never played the games so had no expectations one way or the other, I have no idea whether or not it's respecting "canon" but for me it's just a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, I just looked and Season3 isn't expected until late 2027 or early 2028.  Two years.  It's entirely likely that I will have completely lost interest at that point.

I've read a lot of the stories of Westeros outside of just the official Song of Ice and Fire series, so I already knew.  But I'm still enjoying the show and how the storytellers are letting it unfold.  And I've absolutely loved the interaction with the nobles, especially Lyonel Baratheon.

Finished it over the weekend.  I enjoyed it but probably need a rewatch because I don't feel I followed it as well as I did s1.

I also never played the games, but my stepson used to play them a lot, and he claims the TV show works in a ton of stuff from the games that I probably miss, not having played them.  A lot of the show creates backstory and lore for stuff from the games, which is not exactly in the games, but that kind of addition makes sense to me, since the games are mostly concerned with you running around shooting stuff, and the TV show needs to create interesting characters with stories we care about.  So while a lot of it is particular to the show, he says, it doesn't disrespect or disregard the games.  I, of course, wouldn't know.  Only that I've enjoyed it so far.

Finished that 11.22.63 mini-series with James Franco I mentioned earlier.  My wife discovered it was based on a 2011 novel by Stephen King of the same name.  Made total sense when she told me that.  King usually has ideas and premises I find interesting, and his stories have a good narrative structure to them.

I kinda would like to read the book now, to see if Franco's character is written to be a guy who perpetually makes dumb decisions, or if it was just a bad adaptation, or just careless writing in the first place.  It was kind of an odd show in that I did like it--the story, the moral at the end, the characters grabbed my attention....all that stuff.  And yet, the main character I found really annoying, because he did so many stupid things that he should've seen were gonna go sideways.  Makes me wonder if his actions make more sense in the book, or if he was just supposed to be a book-smart, no-common-sense person.

Anyway, I liked it pretty well.  Wouldn't recommend you drop everything and go watch it, but if you ever had 8 episodes of time to kill, I found it a plenty decent story.

Yeah we watched that over the past few weeks with my kids because my daughter had heard something about it.  I knew ahead of time it was a Stephen King story, and it definitely showed in the TV show (in a good way, I tend to like Stephen King).

Agree about the main character just constantly making dumb decisions, but I also think the audience has to understand he's a lot more emotionally involved and therefore his rationality is compromised, compared to just us observers.  And I also tried to put myself in a position where I'm NOT a longstanding well-known Fantasy/Sci-Fi nerd who is well acquainted with all of the tropes of time travel, but instead just an ordinary guy who finds himself in a truly unbelievable situation and often responds to that poorly.

Anyway, I agree that it's a good show, I liked it pretty well, and if you're looking for something that's pretty easy to relate to, then it's worth a watch.

As an aside, James Franco seemed VERY Matt Dillon-esque in this role.  Was it just me?

I didn't occur to me, but now that you mention it, I guess I can see that.

If I Had Legs I'd Kick You is the first one I watched that was a slog.  And in fairness, it wasn't nominated for Best Picture, but Weapons wasn't either, and IMO it should have been
