Idk if it was here or not, but someone put out there that in The Big Lebwoski, Donny is actually Walter's imaginary friend, due to his severe PTSD.  They said Donny never interacts with anyone but Walter and that his death is actually a step in the right direction for Walter's mental health.

However, following the botched drop-off, when the cell phone keeps ringing, Donny tells the Dude his phone is ringing, and the Dude says "thank you Donny" in his deadpan way.

So no, he's not imaginary.

I don't think 2 was "horrible" but it certainly wasn't as good as the OG.  Last Crusade was better than 2, wrapped the story up and ended on a high note, and no others ever should have been made.

More or less agree, but I think there was some redeemable, good stuff to Crystal Skull.  The alien thing got dumb, and the less said about the flying refrigerator, the better.  But a good bit of the film did "feel" like Indiana Jones, and it gave him a happy ending with Marion and a son a to carry on his legacy.  I can get behind that, even if it really dropped the ball in other areas.

But then the most recent movie crapped on all that, took away his family-happy-ending, and turned him into a dweeb who never was much of anything in the first place.  F that movie.  I reject it as canon.

It's been so long since I've seen that and I don't remember it enough to consider your point, that it makes me want to watch it again.

I figure anytime I can't remember something about The Big Lebowski, it's good time to rewatch.

Interesting fact.  Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was actually a prequel, if you go by the year it took place in.  So chronologically, it happened before RotLA.

I always thought ToD was the worst of the original 3.  RotLA was obviously the best, and LC was a great movie in it's own right.  I guess drinking from the cup didn't give him eternal life afterall.

13/30 were sequels or parts of ongoing series.  57% were first/original.  I wonder how that compares to "nowadays?"

If Donny was imaginary, whose ashes was Walter spreading?

Car Theft Scene:
In the scene where the Dude's car is stolen, he responds to Donny's inquiries about where he's going with "Home, Donny!"
Initial Conversation:
In the very first conversation, when Donny asks "What tied the room together Dude?", the Dude responds, "My rug."

If he could get a toe by 3:00, with nail polish, some ashes would be effortless.
