The link works.  Turn sound on.  Pretty funny for Star Wars nerds.

Miami Vice reboot movie on the way?

“Top Gun: Maverick” filmmaker Joseph Kosinski is set to direct a “Miami Vice” remake for Universal Pictures.
Dan Gilroy (“Nightcrawler,” “The Bourne Legacy”) is adapting the screenplay. Though plot details haven’t been revealed...

Casting has yet to be announced.

Full points to my Gen-Z kids, who both appreciated it. :-) But that first scene on the railroad hit pretty hard.

Yeah my GenZ kids were good with it, as well.  GenZ kids are mostly raised by GenXers and we're not overly PC.

Didn't they do that with Jamie Foxx like 20 years ago?

Just binged the Penguin.  Good show.

Agree.  Very well done.

It almost lulls you to sleep, finding a way to make you eventually root for the main character, and then at the end when he goes full-Penguin you remember, oh right, this guy's a dick.

Finally finished Silo Season 2. I liked it. Pretty obvious how/why the protagonist will survive the cliffhanger, but I enjoyed the story in the second silo. The timing is a problem, and people recovered remarkably quickly from serious wounds, but it was fun. Interesting commentary on order and safety versus freedom and danger.

Finished Fallout, took like 8 months, due to watching with a friend.

We're rewatching Better Call Saul while my brother-in-law is visiting because he's never seen it.  It really is a great show....imo better than it's predecessor Breaking Bad.  But that probably depends on you personal preferences and how dark/gritty you like your shows.  BCS has more levity.  And the main character is more likable.

Silo S2 was just ....dark.  Literally....dark, I can't even make out the scenes.  I know it had to be somewhat dark due to the Silo being dead, but dang it seems like they could figure out how to do it right.

Silo s2 seemed to retcon some things from s1.  I'll probably watch the next season if there's another one out when Severance comes back and we cut on AppleTV, but I feel like Silo is more potential than actual high quality.

I still want to read the books.
