I could do without the Gay stuff.  Meh.

It was love stuff.

I will also say this about the Last of Us (both seasons). The biggest thing that bothers me about it is that the characters (Joel in particular)--who are supposed to be hardened surivivors with over a decade of apocalypse living (in Joel's case as a smuggler)--make really bad decisions that I have a hard time believing said survivors would make.
I've made it this far, so why not just waltz into the middle of a city area without reconoitering it first.
Sure, that's what a smuggler who's really good at avoiding federal authorities, brutal roving gangs, and infected fungus zombies who cause a 100% fatality rate from bites would do.
That said, I thought the story and the production in season 1 were really good. Episode 2 of Season 2 was also all kinds of fun for epic events. GOT-ish in that way (before GOT lost Martin's books as a guide).

I can overlook certain weak plot points. But not what I call lazy writing. A well written show will make you forget lazy writing.

We just finished season one of The Pitt on Max. Very good show. It's a hospital ER drama starring Noah Wyle, who I heard was in some other ER drama a few decades back. Can't recall the name of it.

Premise of the show is that each episode covers one hour of an ER shift, so it's fairly fast-paced and without massive long drawn-out story arcs. But it also does a really good job of character development describing in its 15 episodes something that would have happened in 15 hours of a single day. I guess in that way it's similar to 24, which I never watched?

Anyway, The Pitt just got picked up for another season, so apparently other people liked it too.

Watched the entire thing.  The wife and I enjoyed it.

There are a few annoying characters, but....there always is.

Can't recall the name of it -- E.R.  :)

Well, in any company I've ever worked for, there are a few annoying coworkers. :57:

The redhead that can't mind her own business is one of them.

And the smartass, short, dark haired young girl.

I do like the blonde older lady -- bullpen boss.

Agreed on all points. I'm not going to dig into it further lest we start getting into spoiler territory...

But I thought the show was really well done.

Got around to Conclave over the weekend.

That is 2+ hours of my life that I'll never get back. I was, as someone else might say, unimpressed.

My wife said something about My Cousin Vinny and I mentioned that I'd never seen it.  She couldn't believe it and was adamant that I see it, so that's what we watched this weekend.

I like Joe Pesci.

Watched it with the kids for the first time a month or two ago, and they loved it.

Felt the same way

and the ending was flat out silly
