1990, the last time Virginia football mattered in the slightest.  That's rough.  They should be a sleeping giant, but they have absolutely no real peak.

1990 housed the only 3 weeks UVA has ever been ranked in the top 5.  All-time.  Ever.  How is that possible???  I consider the state of VA in that 2nd tier of smaller, yet fertile recruiting states, along with Louisiana, Ohio, and Georgia.  Maybe LA and VA are in a 3rd tier behind those larger states, but still.  Tons of talent comes out of VA Beach/Norfolk/Newport News.

They have whiffed on coaching hire after coaching hire.

1990 was also their highest ever appearance in a preseason poll...#15.

I think it would be cool if ESPNU would have done (and could do annually) a season per week, and just do an important game from each week of the season, like two per day.  I'd actually get invested in that.

I'd take any actual sports over a blah-blah talking show.

They've been showing plenty of old games.  But if I could invest in something ongoing, I would.  I struggle to engage in a classic one off, but I could buy in on replaying a season over the course of a week.
