When I was going to Boston my wife asked if I was getting a rental car...

...because she's never driven in Boston.

I love driving in the French countryside.

Driving in Paris is approximately 33% less frightening than driving in Sicilian cities but you're also 95% less likely to get your rental car stolen (by the guys that work the front desk at your hotel).

This happened to me. In Boston.

It was so common in Sicily I didn't even have to fill out a form to get a new rental car.  They just drove it to me and parked it in the same spot the other one had been stolen from the day before.  The mob, hotel staff, and rental car staff all work together.

Oh good, another group to dislike because of anecdotes.

Just can it.

I grew up in a Sicilian family, know-it-none.

In that my wife is from there, every time we go to Boston, I let her drive and I just look down at my phone and try to relax

I've driven in Boston, some, didn't encounter anything notable or memorable.  Some of it was in he suburbs.

Some of the traffic circles in Paris are ... entertaining ...

I got lost in Boston the one time I was there.

I drove around for two hours and finally stopped to ask a cop to help me out.

He made me blow. I was a block from my hotel (Tremont, where the car was stolen) so he thought I was hammered. Two hours earlier, I probably would have been over.

This is like 30 years ago.

Never given Boston a drive, but Philly was enough for me.  Nearly raged out and had a nervous breakdown.

Had a rental car, parked it, and UBER'ed.  (and that was almost as frightening)
