they don't charge extra, as far as I know....

Don't study the details of the bill, it's on the boss's tab
How did you sucker him into putting you up for a 'Sker's game? Or are you there on "bidness"?

I'd have to make myself presentable to go down to the lobby

I'd rather drink my coffee, then the 3 S's, then checkout and start my day

shorts, T-shirt, and flip flops will do the trick.

That’s what I do.

I know, I see those people in the lobby .......... ;)

I'd also need a Husker or golf cap to cover the bed head

simply MUCH more convenient and lazy to make two cups of coffee in the room

Yeah, that is the watered down shit coffee option.  I use that method on occasion.

Room coffee to me is the same as downstairs.  I'm not a snob either.

Me neither.  And if you are, a hotel is the wrong place for coffee.

I've never had coffee where I thought "Man, that is GOOD coffee!!!".  I've had weak or cool coffee of course.  My wife liked it "strong", nearly espresso style.  It gets too much for me.  I drink it black.

OK, I have had good Irish coffee, they put something into the beans up there.

While we're on the topic.....a related pet peeve.

The newfangled (and much worse) coffee machines that hold 20 varieties of coffee, and you put your cup under it and it fills up.

The drip coffee pot is far superior in every way, other than making it.

The last work trip I took, the hotel I stayed in had one of these, and we had a line of 4 people waiting to get their coffee.  A drip pot, or urn, --- pour and go.
