And we took the bait the 2nd time out there.

What a great investment that was!

We went on a 3/4 night weekend out to Vegas from our Marriott Ownership about 5 years ago, where we had to listen to another.  Them bitches.  They did NOT like NO that time.  

Shortly thereafter we listed our alternating-years week on Red Week, and sold if for about 10K less than we originally paid.  But no more $1400 maintenance/membership fees due a couple of weeks after Christmas.

December, 2027, we have a "time share" in Waikaloa with Hilton.  It works pretty well for us, easy to book different locations around the world.

These can be "OK" if you have a larger family and travel a lot.

The weather in San Diego is fantastic. Great beer too. 

It has all the good of CA, but doesn't have quite the wokeness of San Francisco, the tech-bro culture of San Jose / Peninsula, the fakeness of LA, or the snobbiness of Orange County. 

I'd consider moving there if I leave OC.

A problem with SD, for me, is that Pacific haze layer.  I like blue skies.  It seems like a pretty nice city to me, mostly, I've been all around it.

that's not much of a problem for me

I haven't spent much time in Atlanta but I'd guess I'd prefer Sad Diego weather overall

Yeah, we did a big sales meeting down there last July. Had a bunch of our global folks in to experience the great San Diego weather...

...and it was chilly and misty the whole time :57:

But in general, it's great. 

And note it also depends where you are--if you're a few miles inland from the coast, it can be very different than it is near the water.

Yeah, we have friends up in the hills in Chula Vista and the difference is stark.
