actually, the lame excuse was that with the stadium renovation and reduced seating during the renovation, they needed an extra home game for revenue

So why did they cancel with Tennessee this year and next?

I'd have much rather a win or a close loss vs the Vols than any outcome over Bowling Green

but, much like a 4-team playoff then expanding to 8 and 16, no one gives a rip what I want

hell I'd rather be playing the goldarn Sooners annually too - be even better than losing to the Vols

I'm happy. 

I'm not a fan of SoCal summer. A little too hot for my liking. 

And yet, SoCal summer isn't THAT bad--especially considering Midwest summer sucks. SoCal is not humid, and mosquitos aren't a big deal. So comparatively, even though I don't like the heat, I think SoCal summer is still better than Midwest summer. 

But SoCal winter? Light years better than Midwest winter!

So we're exiting IMHO SoCal's worst season (which isn't frankly that bad) and getting into the good stuff.

My wife for reasons unclear to me stated emphatically that she COULD NOT LIVE in San Diego.  I might opine it's not my favorite, but she was emphatic, and I don't know why.  I've spent some time up around Calaveras County and enjoyed it there, it was pretty rural, you could drive an hour and be at pretty high elevation.

I don't know what Calaveras County has to do with San Diego considering they're a couple hundred miles away from each other? 

That said, a lot of San Diego County is also quite rural... It's more inland desert so it might be a bit toasty too...




Julian for example is a little bit decent elevation (~4200 ft) which might take a little off the top heat-wise.
