It like someone sitting in your regular seat at church
I have a solution to that...

Beating them unconscious is discouraged in most churches.

Did I tell you guys about my mission of acquiring a pew?  Nothing to do with church, of course.

So I wound up having to get a root canal on my front tooth. There was some infection deep in the gums.  Sounds awful, right?
But it was great.  Zero pain, everything went boring and precise.  They did a fantastic job.  It took awhile, but the whole set up and execution was flawless.  Didn't even get all dry-mouthed during it.
Just truly impressed and thankful.

Grumpy situation averted.

I don't know how you'd go about finding out this info, but in my experience, churches who are doing renovations often give the old pews away to anyone who wants one.  Might keep your ear to the ground in your area.

Yeah, one in Mesa did that, but they were 20 feet long, lol.  I live in a 1 bdrm apartment.

The thing is, years ago, when I had a Jeep and living in a house, I was at my late friend's place in Vegas and perusing on my phone, saw there was a free church pew.  But it was like midnight, so my friend didn't want to go.

Ever since then, I've been on the lookout for a free pew.  It's stupid, but it's true.
Even small pews are mostly sold for hundreds of dollars, which surprised me.  Makes that free one in Vegas even more amazing.

Glad to hear it.  Put it on the happy thread!

My church has angled sections so the pews up front are way shorter, anywhere from 2-4-6 people wide.  I also knew a guy in college who scored some old movie theater seats that were torn out in a renovation.

Yeah, another church was giving away theirs, but you had to take them all and they were really focused on another church taking them (for some reason).

It's okay, I'm patient, lol.

if you fart loudly enough, you can sit in your own pew

That would require me to enter a church.

My solution is much simpler :57:

Yeah, I got that.  I was trying to subvert your joke, but you're ruining it.

I had some seats from Comiskey Park that I bought when they tore it down.

Ended up selling them when we moved here. No place to put them.
