We have the solar cover on ours, got in for the first time this weekend.  84 at the top does not translate to the same at the bottom.  Had been cold last week, needs a week of sun and to get stirred around.

Have to leave it off later in the summer or it gets up to the mid 90's, and that's too friggin hot.
We don't have a cover. Our solar is on the roof.

Man, ya'll get a lot of rain.

We can only dream of that much rain here in the flatlands of Central Texas.  We've had about 2" over the same period, including last night, and we're delighted to get it.

I have multiple tendons that are acting up and screwing with my abilities to exercise correctly. Makes me quite grumpy.

I have talked to my provider about treatment options, and she gave me an Rx to address the high cortisol. These f'ing people - I think their job is to make everyone miserable - or die.

Cortisol is evil. Look it up.

Good RX saved me about $650 on some high powered cream to address a skin condition awhile back.  $700 for a tube of cream, and that coupon dropped it like that.  Kinda aggravating, actually, but that's life.

How does Good Rx work?

I mean, this stuff they want me to take costs ~$20K for 60 pills, FFS.

I doubt it would work for something like that, but you type in the drug and it gives coupons to use at the various pharmacies close to you.

Although yesterday when I started looking for the pills my wife had just been prescribed for her urgent issue that caused us to turn around after driving 2 hrs down the road to Skicat's Dad's funeral and head home to the walk-in clinic, looked like they wanted a monthly subscription.

But anyway, it DID work as I described less than a year ago.

Holy crap, this actually fits in the correct thread.

Just go to their web site, put in what you're getting a prescription for, and see what they say. You don't need to give any personal information. It'll show you rates at various pharmacies.

Sometimes paying out of pocket w/o any insurance can come in lower than the insurance-adjusted rate. We found that when my son was taking generic Accutane, often we could get it cheaper that way.

There are no various pharmacies for this stuff. It comes from a boutique joint in Chicago.

Xeris Pharmaceuticals, now Xeris Biopharma Holdings, is a Chicago-based specialty biopharmaceutical company focused on developing ready-to-use injectable and infusible drug formulations for rare and specialty diseases.
