Eh, he loved college football for what it was. Was he nostalgic for Notre Dame being what it was? Sure. Did he provide any insight? Nah. But he loved what we all loved. It's funny that Ron Powlus existed in an era where he was a small HS legend in central PA, went to Notre Dame, redshirted, and then sort of failed. He was a perfectly fine QB. But 30 years later, he would have transferred to IMG, definitely not redshirted, but then transferred down after Notre Dame paid the best MAC QB to replace him. And now he's a joke. He existed in the narrow window where college football got broad national coverage, but there was no social media. It was literally like a 10 year window
