I know upsets happen in other sports.  But they don't see an Appy State beating a Michigan at home ... ever.

Auburn yesterday had 227 yards in the first half, and 50 in the second.  They look unbeatable in a half and then hapless, same team.  They could easily have been up 17-0 at the half, but weren't.

Unpredictable.

Uh huh.
What makes this board fun is that it brings together a lot of opposing fan bases that don't normally get along with each other. Echo Chambers exist if that's what you'd prefer. However, if your goal is to avoid any jokes about Luke Fickell, or Wisconsin football in general, then you might want to steer clear of the badger boards for a while.

I was pissed at you for throwing stones just hours after an embarrassment, as if UW and its fans need anyone, let alone an O$U fan, to pile on.

I'm not pissed anymore.

Lots of people, including you, have never seen anything like this for your school/team.

This is the second time in my lifetime that I'm seeing it, except the first time wasn't with the program coming off a long stretch of winning conference titles and big bowl games.

This is worse than 1989, and there is no Barry Alvarez walking through the door to revive the program a year later.

I think of Wisconsin as being a good program, often with terrific hard nosed teams that can easily upset someone purportedly "better".  I've seen Badger teams able to tell you the play they are about to run and then run it as if you can stop them.

I have not watched them this year, but the evidence is pretty obvious they are not that, and probably not going to be that without major changes.

lol....when has OSU ever hit a rough patch? outside of Tressel's first year and Fickell's interim year y'all been like 10 wins or more every season for the last 25 fucking years.
It isn't just 25.

Ohio  State is FAR-AND-AWAY the most consistently good team in the country for at least the 80 years that the AP Poll has existed (1936-2025).

I said this on the SEC forum, figured I'd re-post it here too.

"Gotta say I have a ton of respect for Mateer.  That dude is tough as nails.  He was clearly hurt from the beginning, and then got further injured throughout the game.  Got zero help from his oline and RBs, but just kept on trying to make plays to win the game.

He probably shouldn't have been put in that position by his coaches, but that's a different topic."

This, by the way, is Indiana's highest ever ranking. Their previous high was #4 which they last achieved in the final (pre-bowl back then) poll of the 1967 season.
