Buenas dias.

Gonna finish repairing and putting up Halloween decorations this morning.  Then we'll head over to Bald Greg's for the TX-OU game at 2:30.  In celebration of the State Fair of Texas we'll be frying up homemade corn dogs, funnel cake, and fried twinkies.  Pair it with Shiner Bock, of course, as is tradition.

Of course!

My buddy whose parents own one of the food booths at the State Fair, brings me a fresh sleeve of wax cups every couple of years, so I always have some on hand!

Shiner Cheer is fun.  Strong notes of peach and toasted pecan, but not overpowering.  It starts being available in bottles and cans around here by late October.

Dog woke up at 5:30, so I'm already a good ways into the day.

Probably gonna watch OSU until they're up 20, then swap over to see what Bama/Mizzou looks like. Missing the afternoon slate for the theater, but then will be coming home to see Purdue/Minn.

Lamb burgers with Greek salad on the menu tonight.

Just finished up making a batch of Mongolian beef. Chinese food keeps well. That makes me happy.

We have a fish fry party to go to tonight. The couple just got married, after getting divorced in January.

I really don't want to go as I don't approve how either of them handled it.

We'll see how it goes, but it's making me grumpy.

Kind of sounds like maybe Bells brewery - they don't use spices. Gonna keep an eye out,Great Lakes always wheels the Chrismas Ale out to much fanfare.Pretty sure they change the recipe up/around evey year but like so many others they have variations of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice,Orange Peel, clove, brown sugar, fruit preserves, honey, star anise and more.Which I just don't care for with my malty goodness, sometimes fruit I guess

Should just call it Georgia Beer.
