Thoughts on yesterday's action:
-Badge, send the Mrs. our warmest regards from her friends at the IBN. Hope to see her up and going again soon.
-Lots of rotten weather in Big Ten country yesterday. Oddly enough, it was 34 and downright pleasant here in the Twin Cities yesterday.
-After seeing enough of that gong show in Evanston, I'm afraid to see what Wisconsin is going to do this week at the New Brickhouse. Oof. About the only hope is that the Gopher club from the Nebraska game shows up to play a lot of weasels who are looking ahead to the showdown with Ohio State with a trip to the tournament at stake. And I know full well that I'm going to subject myself to watching the whole damn fiasco even though there's no chance in hell of the Gophers pulling it off.
-When the officiating crew calls the same thing a foul three times in the first half, at some point one would hope a team would stop doing that thing. Sadly some need to learn this lesson, such as a BB game a few years ago in which I called 3 identical illegal screens in the first half, and then one bench was livid that I dared call the same illegal screen again in the deep stretch. Some people never learn.
-There is no officiating conspiracy against Maryland. Take the aluminum foil off your head. Instead, use it to make a pouch for potatoes/fresh veggies to roast on the grill. Mmmm.
-GFs folks are coming from Michigan this weekend, so I'm in charge of prepping and roasting a turkey Friday. However, since she grew up in an Italian family it will not be the usual sides. Plenty of dressing, but instead of the usual others, it's homemade ravioli and red sauce, au gratin potatoes with four cheeses that I can't pronounce, and crusty rolls from an ethnic bakery somewhere around Detroit.
