One of the side stories to this season is fans congregating in emptier sections of bleachers and going shirtless to wave their shirts above their head. First noticed this watching a late Colorado game a few weeks ago. The trend began earlier this season at Oklahoma State games:

"Through three quarters against Houston, the Cowboys were down 36-10 and headed toward a fifth consecutive loss. The stadium was emptying when Eaton, a lifelong Cowboys fan, was dared by his sister Callista Bradford, a season ticket holder, to go to a lifeless section, take off his shirt and wave it for $10."

"Not ashamed, Eaton walked around the stadium to section 231 and by himself, waved his shirt for the crowd to see."

"Call it dramatic or silly, but it can get pretty tiring swinging your arm. Eaton said he had enough juice until the end of the third quarter, while Schneberger didn’t know how long he could go. That’s when a group of guys walked by and Schneberger encouraged them to join. They did, and the group grew."

"The movement spread out of Boone Pickens Stadium. Next thing they knew, it found its way to other college football stadiums. One week later, it was done at Wisconsin’s Camp Randall Stadium. Also at the Rose Bowl for UCLA's home game."

"A week later, the virus continued to grow to Virginia Tech, North Carolina and several others. It even made its way to Eugene, Oregon, where even the Oregon Duck mascot did it."

This was at yesterday's Arizona's home game Vs Baylor; with Arizona pulling away in the 4th quarter the student section emptied for the top deck:

On the other hand . . .

Dude seems smarter than all of us. We are cfb fanatics as a hobby for no good reason, he is very well paid to do it.

I've monetized my college football nerdiness to the smallest degree possible.

Is that why our student section was bare-backed and waving their shirts Saturday?  As the offense bogged down more and more--against WKU--they started this business along with chanting "We Want Kiffin."  Wife asked me if the naked shirt-waving thing was a tradition, and I, perplexed, answered, not to my knowledge.

Western Michigan is now locked into MAC Championship after beating Eastern Michigan.

UMass finishes their first season back in the MAC winless.

Thinking Big Ten bowls, if Ohio State beats Michigan and Oregon beats Washington (both favored but probably 50/50 one goes side ways), any thoughts on where everyone ends up?

Top teams would probably be Michigan and USC, but PAC-12 teams in different bowls.  Iowa vs Nebraska could well push winner into the Citrus or Outback (I know a different name now).
