Cowboys coaches and players pretending NFL refs have it out for them is adorable.

Also saw a stat that after the win on Sunday, Brady and Rodgers have the same number of playoff wins against NFC teams.  One has played in the conference for 14 years, the other for 2
Brady has some fun facts.  For instance, he has more TD passes after the age of 40 (168) than Troy Aikman had for his entire career (165).

Not everyone had an Emmitt to hand it off to.

It's a team sport.  Emmitt might not be in the HOF without Troy and that o-line.

it's a whole different ball-game now. Hard to compare eras. When Aikman came into the league in '89 it was a running league. The rule changes have made it pass happy today and everyone is putting up inflated stats. And not only was it a running league when Aikman came into it, but he was on the worst team- teams earn the #1 pick by sucking. Aikman got beaten to hell his first couple years in the league on a bad team with a bad o-line. It took Jimmy a few years but he restocked the cupboards via drafts and trades and then they took off like a rocket.

Aikman is to this day one of the most gifted passers I've ever seen. The guy could really just throw the shit out of the football- they just didn't ask him to throw it that often and in that era it was a running league. The only guy from the 80s and 90s that was putting up stupid #'s was Marino- but he's arguably the most gifted passer the league has ever seen.

wasn't just Emmitt. That entire team was stocked, locked, and loaded. Michael Irvin was probably the 2nd best WR of that entire era. Really only Jerry Rice was better imo. Maybe Sterling Sharpe would've been better if not for the career ending injury. Maybe Cris Carter was as good. But that's it. The OL was massive and talented and the best in the entire league for a good 5-6 year run. The TE's were pretty solid with Jay Novacek. Not to mention their 90s defenses were the #1 defenses in the league for like 3 years in a row from '92 to '94. In the 90s they were a top 5 defense unit every single year during their Super Bowl runs. And then they went and added Deion Sanders- the greatest CB ever in '95.

That was an All-Star super team.

this.

it's a stupid argument. what all-time great HOF player who wins multiple championships doesn't play for all-time great coaches and with other all-time great players?

Joe Montana played with Ronnie Lott and Jerry Rice and for Bill Walsh for f**ksake. That's only the greatest all-around DB, greatest WR, and greatest coach ever imo.

Ol Jimmy Johnson had some stoopid talent in the NCAA and the NFL

but, that's the head coach's job - get better players

Yeah man, I get it but if you can’t appreciate the absurdity of that fact you’re just making an effort not to.

They always seem to when people talk about Emmitt.
They ignore Emmitt was great in HS and college.
They ignore any and all backup RBs in Dallas sucked during the Emmitt years, running behind the same OL.
.
He wasn't as flashy as Barry Sanders, so we have to slight him by complimenting his OL every chance we get.
