Kirk is going in the college hall of fame
Yeah, I guess after the HOF changed the criteria to get Mike Leach in,  they decided to make it a permanent change.   So now the minimum winning % for a head coach is 0.595 instead of .600.  So as long as he keeps winning at a 60% rate until he retires,  he's in.

I also have a hunch Iowa is going to appeal the 4 vacated wins as an excessive penalty, which I agree with.
We are all equal but some are more equal than others.

Iowa football will pay Northern Illinois and Northern Iowa a combined $2.3 million for their 2026 visits to Kinnick Stadium.

When I was 10-years old and had a single ticket, while mom and dad had their own tickets elsewhere --- they said, "Meet us under the water tower after the game."

At the end of the game with about 55,000 in attendance in the 1960s, I didn't know how I could find the water tower after the game, much less find my parents there after the game. But, that tower loomed over the stadium. It was surprisingly easy for a 4th grader to reunite with parents under the water tower. I wonder how many other kids heard their parents say that. It worked every time. I loved that water tower.

I was very concerned about whether the Hawkeyes could end in the top half of the Big Ten coming into this season given that there will be a new QB who threw two passes last year, and there were no transfer portal QBs. In the only open practice before game day. I am feeling much better. Jeremy Hecklinski stars during Iowa football's Kids Day at Kinnick
