Michigan is dealing with some injuries and there's rumors of a "bug" going around in Ann Arbor.
Patriots on a bye week?  Sounds like Jabrill Peppers is visiting

Nebraska Cornhuskers (2-4, 3-6) at #3 Michigan Wolverines (6-0, 9-0)
3:30 - Ann Arbor, MI - ABC
Michigan is absolutely rolling right now.  For about 30 seconds after the Maryland win has been the only time anyone questioned them.  If there is anything to say right now, they could probably start a little faster.  They were tied 10-10 with Indiana midway through the 3rd, and finished on a 21-0 run.  They were trailing Penn State 17-16 midway through the 3rd, and finished on a 25-0 run.  They were trailing Michigan State 7-3 early in the 2nd, and finished on a 26-0 run.  Then last week they trailed Rutgers 17-14 midway through the 3rd, and finished on a 38-0 run.  When they turn it on they look as good as anyone in the country, and even early in their sleepwalks, it never looked like they were struggling.  I'm not sure Nebraska has much of a shot at full health, but the Huskers already confirmed that starting quarterback Casey Thompson will miss his second straight start.  It's a bit of a surprise, because there was some thought he might play last week.  Neither replacement option is good.  Chubba Purdy has had more opportunities, and on 36 attempts is averaging just 2.5 ypa, on 44% passing, with 3 interceptions.  Might as well at least see what you have in Logan Smothers, he has better numbers, albeit on just 11 attempts, and is supposedly the better runner.  Unless you just don't want to kill the kid's confidence against this Michigan defense, which has looked better than expected.  Trey Palmer, who was looking like a First Team All-Conference receiver with Thompson, has disappeared without him.  His last two games were his two worst games of the season.  After going off for 297 yards and 2 touchdowns against Purdue 3 weeks ago, Thompson's last game, he has a total of 38 yards in the two games without him.  The Husker defense has actually been pretty solid, but when you have an offense that goes up tempo, but only averages about 26 minutes of TOP, the defense is just on the field way too much.  I think that side of the ball holds its own for a bit.  It's 14-3 or something at halftime, but they eventually wilt.
MICHIGAN 44, NEBRASKA 3

Nebraska interim head coach Mickey Joseph — leading the visitors on Saturday afternoon — has no concerns about anything happening in the tunnel. Joseph explained that the coaching and support staff plan to make sure their guys get straight to the locker room and they have no major worries to begin with.

“We’re going to make sure our kids get in the tunnel and we have a plan to make sure our kids get in the tunnel and get in there and get in there safely,” Joseph said. “But we’re not going there for that. We’re not talking about the altercation, what happens in the tunnel. We’re going to be professional like we always are and we’re going to get our kids in, and get our kids out. But I don’t see a problem happening.”

“I have faith in the University of Michigan administration, that they’re going to do everything in their power to make sure we don’t have an altercation,” Joseph said.

Bob Devaney's first big win

I was a couple months old and the sellout streak started the following week vs Iowa St.

UPSET VICTORY RAISES HOPES OF NU RESURGENCE
Coach Bob Devaney gained Coach of the Week honors and fullback Bill Thornton was named Back of the Week after the Cornhuskers shocked Michigan, 25-13, before 70,287 Band Day fans — the largest crowd to see Nebraska play in a regular-season game.

Thornton scored two TDs and blocked ferociously — his first contact since a preseason shoulder dislocation — while Dennis Claridge hit 6 of 12 passes for 89 yards. Halfback Dennis Stuewe led all rushers with 60 yards.

Entering the fourth quarter, Nebraska led 19-7 before Michigan cut the deficit to 19-13. But Nebraska answered back. On a fourth-and-eight play inside the Michigan 30, Claridge passed to Dick Callahan for a first down. On the next play, Thornton rumbled 16 yards for a touchdown.

Sports Illustrated reported: “Most credit for the upset belonged to a huge Cornhusker line that allowed Michigan halfback Dave Raimey only 59 yards rushing.”
Nebraska’s scoring drives covered 63, 81, 38 and 75 yards.
An ankle injury sidelined Stuewe for the entire second half.
A crowd of 3,500 welcomed the team Saturday night at the Lincoln airport.
The win earned the Huskers a No. 16 ranking in the UPI coaches’ poll.
NU’s point total in its first two games was the highest since 1922.

former Wolverine Taylor Lewan and former Cornhusker Will Compton are like BFFs apparently and have a podcast they do together for Barstool Sports called Bussin’ with the Boys.

Well turns out they talked to both schools and have created an official trophy for the Nebraska-Michigan game. I present to you, the Bussin’ Bowl trophy.
