Nary a word* was said about Nebraska during Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh’s Nebraska-week press conference.

Michigan is favored by 29. Kick-off is at 3:30pm. Michigan needs to stay healthy and keep working on the kinks in the passing game and red zone. Would love for this to be a Donovan Edwards game and have them really feature him.
I've been meaning to ask about his. Why has Michigan been having red zone issues of late?

To define issues:
Against Rutgers the Wolverines had two fairly deep penetrations in the first half (not technically red zone) that resulted in missed FG's which is why it was 17-14 RU instead of 28-17 M at the half.

Against MSU in the first half the Wolverines had three Red Zone trips for 13 points. They were dominating the game but only up 13-7 at the half. For the game as a whole the Wolverines had only two TD's and five FG's. It was still a solid 29-7 win but could easily have been a much bigger win.

Against PSU in the first half the Wolverines had one TD and three FG's which is why they only led 16-14 at the half and briefly trailed 17-16 in the third quarter. I realize that they were dominating statistically but this is usually how upsets happen.

This surprises me because usually running teams have less trouble in the red zone. When Ohio State struggled in the Red Zone last year I understood it. When you get close to the end zone the defenders don't have to worry about your WR's burning them deep because the back line of the endzone acts as an extra defender. Running teams don't generally face that problem because they aren't using that part of the field anyway. What gives?

just doesn't make sense to me...the ONE guy you have at WR that was straight up balling, making huge plays every time you play him as a TRUE FRESHMAN last year- you refuse to fkng play. Lol. Harbaugh really is an idiot when it comes to personnel decisions. Anybody with a set of fkng eye balls can see Andrel Anthony is the most talented WR on that roster....and he doesn't play. LMAO.

play calling in the red zone has been a major issue. they try to get too cute, run reverses or jet sweeps in the fkng red area and lose yards- they do this crap A LOT. they also refuse to throw any jump ball goal line fades- which USED to be a staple of a Michigan offense- yet they refuse to even try it. they refuse to move the pocket and roll out and have JJ throw on the run in the red area- which they did really well last year- recall a couple red zone TDs that were perfect. they refuse to call any designed QB runs in the red area. you need your best stuff, need to get a little creative in the red area to score as field is shorter- or you need to trust your big 6'2+ WR's to go up and make a play on goal line fades- and this idiot coaching staff does neither.

it's just a clusterfk of a clunky sloppy uncoordinated mess in the red area.

Through 9 games, the 2022 Michigan Defense is giving up;

9.77 Points per game (removing the PSU helmet bounce fluke pick 6 and punt block for TD vs Rutgers)
242.4 Yards per game - 1st in FBS
72.4 Rush yards per game - 1st in FBS
170 Pass yards per game - 9th in FBS
13.2 First downs per game - 2nd in FBS
29.7% 3rd Down conversion allowed % - 7th in FBS
29 Sacks - tied for 4th in P5 with BAMA
83 % Stop Rate - 1st in FBS
0.93 Points per drive allowed- 2nd in FBS

All of these defensive stats are significantly out pacing their defense from last year. It's crazy to say considering they lost their DC to the NFL and Ojabo, Hutch, and Dax Hill - but their defense is actually playing better this year. The new DC Minter who comes from that same Ravens system has been a maestro at 2nd half adjustments, it's all these guys 2nd year in the same Ravens style 3-4 system, and guys like Mike Morris and Mazi Smith have taken their games up a level and Mike Sainistril has honestly been every bit as good as Dax Hill at the nickel- which is astounding considering the guy was playing WR last year.

No red zone issues in Pisscataway due to Coach Harbaugh's brilliant play calling.
A decade of Victory over Penn State.

All in since 1969

Considering how tough Nebraska played Michigan in Lincoln last year I'd say there's a chance.
