Correct.

But also I meant they only have two playable LBs.  Accounting only for starters, it might be the strongest position on the team, because the top 2 are both very good.  But behind them...

one storyline of many..........

Nebraska has struggled on the road in the past few seasons. During the Matt Rhule era, the Huskers have a 4-10 record in road games, and on top of that, Nebraska has lost its last three games in East Lansing.

The Huskers' last meeting against Michigan State in East Lansing was in 2023 during Matt Rhule's first season in Lincoln, when the Huskers lost 20 to 17. The other two losses to Michigan State on the road were in 2021 (23-20 OT) and in 2014 (27-22).

Off the top of my head it feels like the better team has always won this game.  I cant think of an obvious upset off the top of my head

2015 - in Lincoln

Huskers Take Down No. 6 Spartans: In a season of unbelievable endings, the Nebraska football team finally had one go its way, pulling off a 39-38 upset of previously unbeaten Michigan State.

Nebraska’s two touchdowns in the final 1:47 rallied the Huskers from a 38-26 deficit to match the largest fourth-quarter comeback in school history.

The game-winner was a 30-yard pass with 17 seconds left from Tommy Armstrong to Brandon Reilly, who made a terrific adjustment on the ball after being forced out of bounds by a Spartan defender.

This series has had some really interesting games since Nebraska joined the league.

I went to the 2012 game in EL,  refs were struggling all around that day.  The dubious PI call on Dennard late in the game was the last bad call and Nebraska pulled it out .  Tmart ran for 200 I think.

this could be the closest match up of the week end in the BIG. Spartans finally have a staunch advocate on the sidelines in Fitz. And they scrapped like hell in South Bend but being a little short on depth is there undoing. However they'll be at home and Spartan Fans may be done wondering the wilderness and newly energized.

 Read this quip perusing the boards - "This is a true toss-up game between a lot of unknowns for both teams,the advantages at the line of scrimmage is unclear." Great summary UNL prolly has a few more playmakers but Spartans at home,not sure who the inuries favor. So it gets down to what they all get down to between seemingly equal squads - Turnovers/Special Teams, hopefully it goes down to the wire

Injuries won't be a factor for the Huskers
