Nebraska (1-0) vs Bowling Green (0-1) Game Day
« on: Today at 09:01:54 AM »
Nebraska continues its three-game season-opening homestand on Saturday when it takes on Bowling Green in a prime-time matchup at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m., and the game will be televised by FS1.

The Huskers come into the contest off a 49-21 victory over Ohio in the season opener on Saturday at sun-splashed Memorial Stadium. After leading 14-13 at halftime, Nebraska controlled the second half and pulled away for the 28-point victory.

Bowling Green dropped its season opener on Saturday, in a 20-13 loss to Tarleton State, the No. 5 team in the FCS rankings. The Falcons' offense moved the ball efficiently with 366 yards of total offense, including 262 passing yards, while completing 24-of-30 attempts.

Bowling Green is coached by Eddie George, the 1995 Heisman Tropy winner. George is in his second season with the Falcons and his sixth season overall as a college head coach after leading Tennessee State from 2021 to 2024.

Nebraska's matchup on Saturday with Bowling Green is the first between the two schools, but
continues a recent history of games against opponents from the Mid-American Conference.
• Nebraska is 6-0 all-time against current members of the MAC, including last week's 49-21 victory
over Ohio.
• In addition to the two games this season against MAC foes, Nebraska is scheduled to meet Miami
(Ohio) in non-conference play in the 2027 campaign.

Where else would we re-litigate the '95 Heisman results.
