The blocked punt 3 yrs back
That was a stunning singular play, but MSU winning that game was only a slight surprise.  This was one I didn't think MSU had a prayer of winning when healthy, and with basically Lewerke and the second team offense, I thought they'd lose by three scores

10-5 overall in their last 15 games against top 10 teams.

What a job by cool D'Antonio, who knew exactly what he was doing.  My wife and I were watching in a restaurant and we were both like "They're punting with two minutes left?"

Nice win, coach.  Two good teams on that field tonight...

For that reason, I thought this win was surprising in the way the OSU torrential rain win in 2015 (?) was with Cook et al. injured.

Felton Davis had himself a game.I know it's hind sight but with injuries/absences to MSU's WR's/RB's why wasn't Davis doubled up?.PSU has gotten stung at home the last two games.According to BTN the Lions last 5 losses have come by 12pts  in games they were leading at the half

I may be misinterpreting, but it sounds like Lewerke and Felton Davis opted out of their final play call on their own.

So they drew it up in the dirt or saw something they liked/didn't like?

I don't know enough. But in his post-game interview, Davis said something like "I don't know what play they gave you, but throw it to me; I'm going deep." (Not a real quote, just the closest I can do from memory)

I said that throughout the SOC.  For large chunks of the game he was the only scholarship WR available, and yet he was single covered WAY too often.

I observed a lot of interest in this game by Michigan fans including myself but not too much surprise at the outcome.
A decade of Victory over Penn State.

All in since 1969

This isn't helping McSorley, but the offense in general looks WAY different with Moorhead gone.  Much more vanilla
