This is a pick your score game for Indiana.  Sometimes this might be a letdown spot, but I don't think MSU is good enough to take advantage, and Cignetti doesn't seem the type prone to a letdown.

Probably just showcasing how dumb rating the hires is, when done at the time.  These two were part of the same hiring class, and I'm guessing everyone rated MSU's hire as better

I'm just gonna sit here hoping that he was actually just a flash in the pan, and will fizzle out and saddle them with a massive buyout when they fire him--or keep him because he's actually mediocre rather than outright sucky, but is too expensive to fire. 

I'm a little bit worried he's the real deal, though...

Expecting to win is a very strange feeling. Even in the “good” years I never felt comfortable going into an IU football game, even against an FCS team.

Someone made the point on IU’s 247 football page the other day that we are bowl eligible and no one even really seemed to notice. In years past that would’ve been cause for major celebration. This year everyone is focused on the playoffs. So strange.

What's the worse that can happen? He flames out and Indiana sucks? Literally all options besides giving him whatever money he wants would lead to that.
