Gotta say I've been pretty lucky with viewing this year.

  • Week 1 Purdue was on BTN alternate which I don't get, so I didn't watch.
  • Week 2 Purdue was on bye.
  • Week 3 the game was out of hand so early that I could just go skip it and get my workouts in
  • Week 4 it was a night game so I was so involved in cooking and eating dinner and all that stuff that I didn't see any of the game until the final minutes
  • Week 5 Purdue is so bad that getting steamrolled by Nebraska will be on Peacock, which I don't have so I won't watch it.

I think through the first 5 weeks of the season, I'll only have seen about 15 actual game minutes of this dumpster fire team. That's a win!

Gotta take even the small wins when you can.

Getting these PAC schools and not having the B1G West sucks for Illinois this season.

This might have been the year where they would have won it.
yup, they have a QB and an offense this season

Hard to not be awful when you're on your ass all the time.
this. Miller Moss is actually pretty good imo. He made some excellent big-time throws under duress which kept them in the game.

And make no mistake, like you said, he was under duress the entire game. Josaiah Stewart went absolutely off out at EDGE, USC couldn't block him. Graham and Grant both were disruptive and in his face and knocking him on his ass the entire game. And USC couldn't run the ball effectively which is why Moss had to throw it 50+ times.

Moss made one truly stupid fatal flaw that a lot of really dumb college QB's seem to make for some god damn reason that is beyond me...he threw the ball anywhere near Will Johnson. Breaking news college QB's: Will Johnson is really fucking good- he's a starting NFL corner playing college football- and he would've been the first CB drafted in this past NFL draft as a true sophomore if not for those pesky NFL draft eligibility rules. Idk wtf these college OC's/QB's that keep trying him are thinking but they are nuts....if I'm a head coach I'm telling the OC you call pass plays at Will Johnson you're fired on the spot and I'm telling the QB you throw the ball anywhere near him and he picks it- you're benched. Idk why the fuck anyone would be throwing the ball anywhere in his direction.

Same reason why USC and Michigan played... in Ann Arbor.
hey I LOVED it.

At first I was kind of against this whole thing...but after that game. Sold. And we're going to get Ohio State @ Oregon and Oregon @ Michigan. Sign me the f up.

I'd MUCH rather see those games than say Ohio State @ Northwestern or Indiana @ Michigan.

I think there is.  Michigan physically just beat them up.
yup. they got back to running the football and smash mouth defense. that Michigan DL feasted. shows you just how good Texas OL is to hold them in check. They were an elite unit last year that they rode to the playoff and they returned 4/5 of their starters, that OL unit just might be the best in 'Merica and likely Joe Moore winners and that LT of theirs is gonna be a 1st round pick.

I predict Illinois will suffer 2 or more unexpected upsets along the way.
this. it's BERT. it's Illinois. it's just what they do.

This is what I was trying to tell you a couple weeks ago. ;)

It's by far the best Texas o-line I've seen since those killer units we had in 2005/2006, where pretty much every guy got drafted and played multiple years.

Michigan is going to do well this year.  Of the 4 real tough teams on the schedule after Texas, I predicted the Wolverines would go 2-2 at worst.  1 down 3 to go and Washington might not even really challenge UM.

Michigan's record this year comes down to who on their schedule can successfully block their front. Texas had by far the best QB and OL on the schedule and it's not close remotely close.

Most teams on the schedule won't be able to block Michigan's front. Oregon's OL has looked very bad so far this year. Maybe they improve? I think the only one left on the schedule that will really be able handle that front is Ohio State at home in Columbus.

More than that.  They were hitting hard all day.  Blocking and tackling.  They literally knocked 8-10 players from USC out of the game.

I didn’t see UM play Texas but watching them yesterday I felt like they won that game with balls and heart.  Not going to lie,  I was impressed.  You can win a lot of games with just that. Especially when the cool air of October/November comes calling.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

Solich became the good ole days through Pelini, Pelini has been the good ole days ever since, perhaps down the road they will long for the days when they were only losing games by a singular possession.
No that would be Bill C maybe even Riley,Bo though terse was above 700 winning % along with Fearless Frankie. And Dr Tom too

Hiring Billy C and completely changing the team's identity was a HUGE mistake.

This is happening at Wisconsin now, with the Longo OC hire. And now Fickell is meddling, wanted to focus on a physical running game and controlling the clock. You know - Wisconsin Football.

Why he hired Longo is beyond me. Makes zero sense at all right now. I hope he can get it fixed soon. I'm not up for a 20+ year shit show.
