I’m gonna say this, and I don’t care who it offends.

Happy Holidays to all!

Shouldn't offend anyone. People are getting weird about that stuff.

If you're Jewish, Happy Hanukkah. Or whatever you want.

I'm Christian, so, Merry Christmas it is. No offense to anyone.

^^ This is a good example of me having no idea that a movie I grew up with has a half-assed, unimaginative, shameless, opportunistic, cash grabbing sequel.

Bad Santa is another; until this year I somehow missed there was a Bad Santa 2.

And it wasn’t until last Christmas I caught an unfortunate glimpse of Christmas Story 2 airing on Telemundo. It’s shtick is depicting a more grown up Ralphie reliving the many memorable moments that made Christmas Story a must watch Christmas movie, though with a cruder twist. The much parodied scene of Schwartz’s tongue frozen to the flag pole becomes his tongue sucked into one of those pneumatic bank vacuum tubes.

Many, many awful Christmas sequels.

Joshua Perry has to be trolling with his selection. Has to.

Per a quick Google, it appears it links back to some pre-english traditions of X being in place of Christ becuase X is the "ch" sound in greek.

It seems it was thrown into the culture war blender at some point, though it's not 100 percent clear if it was someone wanting to not have the name "Christ" in Christmas for some reason, or someone who wanted to stir up dander accusing someone else of that act.

I saw a list of the most streamed Christmas movies this year. It said it was compiled from multiple sites, and I cannot vouch for which sites.  But the top three were Home Alone, Christmas Vacation, and Elf. I Love all three, no complaints.  But where it got me was the headline being that people still prefer the classics. To me that's Holiday Inn or Wonderful Life.  I guess I'm old enough that I need to accept Home Alone and Christmas Vacation, as being 30 years old.  (I pointed out to my wife when Chevy blew the dust off the reel of "Christmas '59", that he was actually closer to that Christmas than we now are to the Christmas they are celebrating (1989).  But Elf?  That's like 15 years old.

Oddly #4 was Four Christmases, which I have always thought was underrated, but apparently everyone else likes it too

There are two kinds of people in this world: those who consider Die Hard to be a Christmas movie, and those who are wrong.

He's from NW Iowa

Wasn't that cold yesterday and was starting to warm up in the afternoon when it happened

I was surprised as well.

had been running water in that bathroom during the day

just an odd deal I guess
