The Peach Bowl was nonprofit for decades as I recall, and they struggled to make ends meet.  They finally hit upon getting an ACC and SEC team that would travel.  They actually got the ACC #2 team and SEC #5-6 team and they would lean to choosing a team that had a fan base if they could.

Combined with being on NYT and upgraded facilities, it turned into a success.
The CEO of the Peach Bowl made about $790K last year for his role.  No doubt he would definitely do other games, for free, because he doesn't mind working for free.

I don't really have a problem with a zillion of'em.

I know I'm prone to watching the Poulan Weedeater Applebies IBM Doritos Bowl also.

The Peach Bowl is no longer nonprofit, I'm pretty sure, it once was.  I think CFA basically "owns" it now.  It has evolved into a Big Bowl.

They still have $2 hot dogs there.

Even a crap bowl game is better than what ever other crap is on television at the time and if I find something better to do than watch the 45th bowl game, that's a bonus.

It is still a nonprofit.

Ah, thanks for correcting me, I figured it had changed with its new status.  Interesting.  I guess CFA is just the sponsor.

I look for the day I have the ultimate conflict, i.e. FSU v. Iowa. I don't see that conflict coming in my lifetime with this bowl schedule.

I think I prefer to stay away from that conflict. I watched FSU @ Iowa in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge in basketball and sat there with my FSU cap and my Iowa shirt, watched silently and did not root. It was a different experience from being a fan. I can see how someone might neutrally watch recruits, and not take sides.

The B1G seems to play the ACC rarely in football off the top of my head.

Why is it off the top of one's head?
